Neil C. Kleinhandler, a senior partner at Phillips Nizer, concentrates his practice in Tax law with an emphasis on corporate and business tax planning and estate tax planning for families and high-net worth individuals. He also devotes a significant portion of his practice to employee benefits and ERISA matters. Neil has lectured on topics related to employee benefits, ERISA and estate planning during his career.
Neil works closely with the firm’s Matrimonial & Family Law and Trusts & Estates Departments in complex individual and corporate tax matters and renders business planning and personal financial advice. He has cultivated a strong and carefully vetted network of professionals, including certified financial planners (CFPs), certified public accountants (CPAs), corporate trust administrators and insurance agents.Neil earned a J.D. and a Master’s degree in Taxation from New York University School of Law. He graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, with honors with a Bachelor’s degree. He is admitted to practice in New York and is a member of the New York State Bar Association’s (NYSBA) Tax Section.
