New York State Bar Association Labor and Employment Law Section awards Evan Spelfogel a Lifetime Achievement Award

The Labor and Employment Law Section of the New York State Bar Association has announced that Phillips Nizer LLP Senior Counsel Evan J. Spelfogel has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award. This Award is presented for extraordinary and sustained contribution to the Section’s goals and activities and has been presented just three times previously in the Section's 45 year history.   

Christopher D'Angelo, Chair of the New York State Bar Association's Labor and Employment Section (“Section”)  announced that Evan J. Spelfogel, a founding member of the Section, has been awarded the Section’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Evan has been instrumental in the formation and development of the substantive and administrative committees that are in place today.  Evan has contributed in significant ways in the formation of Section policies, procedures and guidance.
 
Evan’s accomplishments and achievements are numerous and Evan has been at the cutting edge of the development of labor and employment law throughout his 60 year career.
 
Regina E. Faul, Chair of Phillips Nizer’s Labor and Employment practice said, “I have known Evan since the beginning of my career.  He is a legend in both traditional labor law and other employment law areas.  I am delighted that he is receiving this Lifetime Achievement Award and am proud to call him a colleague, mentor and friend.”
