Alan Behr Appointed to Serve On The Fashion Law Committee As An Affiliate Member of The New York City Bar
11/05/2024Alan Behr has been reappointed to serve as a member of The Fashion Law Committee of The New York City Bar. Mr. Behr, who chairs the Fashion Practice at Phillips Nizer and serves as a partner in the firm’s Intellectual Property and Corporate practices, has served as an active member of the Bar Association’s Fashion Law Committee and Entertainment Law Committee for the past several years.
The New York City Bar Association (City Bar), founded in 1870, is a voluntary association of lawyers and law students. Since 1896, the organization, officially known as the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, has been headquartered in a landmark building on 44th Street, between Fifth and Sixth Avenues in Manhattan. Today the City Bar has 23,000 members. Its current president, Muhammad U. Faridi, began his term in May 2024.
Mr. Behr, a partner in the Corporate & Business Law Department and Intellectual Property Practice, and chairman of the Fashion Practice at Phillips Nizer LLP concentrates his practice on international intellectual property, fashion, and entertainment law. He represents established and up-and-coming businesses and individuals in the fields of electronic entertainment, emerging technologies, publishing, fashion, and consumer products.
